I want to start by saying I have no idea what I’m doing. I like TV, and I have a lot ofthoughts about shows that my girlfriend patiently listens to me drone on about.This is an attempt to save her from that, unfortunately it comes at the cost ofyet another blog in millions of blogs about nothing.

 I like the idea of writingbut have never really attempted to do so in any organized capacity sincecollege so bear with me while I start this whole thing. At this point therewon’t really be a set structure or pattern to what I do. I watch a show, I havethoughts, I write *shrug*. Fair warning…there is a good chance a lot of it willbe about reality competition shows…SORRY BOUT IT.

There is something about competitive reality shows that has alwaysappealed to me. The plotting, deceit, basically the shadier the better. I guessI’m a glutton for drama. There always has to be one major device present for itto be a show I’m going to fall in love with…eliminations. Vote outs in BigBrother or Survivor, competitions in The Challenge, or even Lip Synching in RuPaul’s Drag Race. There needs to be high stakes risk for making any game moves.I live for those iconic moments in these shows. Moments like when JohnnyBananas pulled the “Take the money and run” in The Challenge: Rivals III. “BenBombs” by Ben Driebergen in Survivor: Heroes Vs. Healers Vs. Hustlers. The OGpot and pan hitter Evel Dick in Big Brother 8. There are countless moments andthat is why I want to have this blog, to write about moments like these as theyoccur.

All of my competition shows have either already started for the seasonor aren’t airing right now. I chose a poor time to start this not being able tostart from the beginning of a season and I don’t feel like going back tore-watch and write about all the aired episodes of the current season ofSurvivor and Drag Race, so I’ll probably jump in now and go from there to warmup for the new season of Big Brother this summer!
